A look back at the Queen's best hats

POSTED 22 April 2016

The Queen's 90th birthday is today, and to celebrate we are taking a look back at some of our favourite styles she has worn over her lifetime and reign!

Most of the Queen's recent hats, as some are seen below are made by Rachel Trevor Morgan, a London milliner or Angela Kelly.  There is no doubt the Queen has one of the best (and largest!) hat collections!

The Queen sports feathers and polka dots during a tour to the Solomon Islands in 1982

The Queen's hats always perfectly coordinate her outfit, as seen above at a Service of Thanksgiving

With a hat looking good enough to eat, the Queen attends a Jubilee Street Party

Keeping warm, the Queen attends Christmas Day services at Sandringham

Hats help the Queen stand out in a crowd, like with this fascinator

Yellow is another favorite of the Queen, as well are flowers

Lastly, the Queen looks on at Royal Ascot at one of our own hat creations!

Happy 90th birthday to the Queen, may there be many more days and years of beautiful hats and life to come!

Royal Ascot and many other events are coming up, to have Katherine Elizabeth create a handmade, bespoke hat for you please email or message us!
