My favourite looks from Ascot 2023

Ascot is one of the biggest events in the millinery world and also one of my favourite times of the year. Each year, I’m always so lucky to be busy working with clients and stylists to get their looks sorted and this year was no different. There was such an array of styles and colours and everyone looked so fantastic. Join me as I reveal my favourite looks from this year’s event.

Christina Blacker

ITV presenter, Christina Blacker wore the beautiful Henrietta hat created by me. Her stylist originally contacted me and we worked together to find a hat to suit Christina. As soon as I saw her floral dress, I knew Henrietta would be the one and her stylist also agreed. I think she looks amazing.

Esme Coy

Esme Coy, the Bridgerton actress, also wore this stunning pink hat which complimented her beautiful bright dress. I was able to colour match her dress with a piece to make the outfit complete!

Maria Sulivann

This is another one of my favourite looks and was worn by Maria Sullivann. This is Antoinette and I just think it matches her hairstyle and outfit so effortlessly.

More fantastic clients

I also absolutely loved working with these two incredible ladies (pictured in the middle). The beautiful bow headpiece is Talia from SS22 and the stunning metallic-look piece is a bespoke headpiece handmade by me.

Me!

Finally, I couldn’t help but show off my Ascot outfit. The bird on this hat is inspired by a kingfisher, handmade using sinamay, bamboo silk, wire and a button base, added to a mini boater style hat. I wanted to be bright, summery and fun this year and thought this complemented my yellow dress nicely.

I had a fantastic day, meeting up with clients, members of my Academy and fellow milliners as well as meeting up with the other ambassadors of the British Millinery Association. I just want to say thank you to everyone that came to me this year and I already can’t wait for Ascot 2024.
